Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette | Review and Look

I recently purchased the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I love wearing browns for soft or dramatic looks. This palette offers six versatile and neutral shades. While I love wearing my false lashes everyday (it’s an obsession), I have been trying to lighten up on my eye shadow for the day time.

I was a little put off by the size of the palette when I first received it in the mail. However, it’s a great size for traveling.

I’m typically not a huge Urban Decay fan because I think their eyeshadows give off a lot of fall-out. Unfortunately, I experienced the same outcome with this palette. I have to keep loose powder under my eyes while applying my eyeshadow so I can brush away the fallout when I’m done.

Although I experience a lot of fallout, the eyeshadow formula is nice because it’s extremely blend-able.

Another con I found with the formula, no matter what eye primer I use, the eye shadow creases.

Overall, I think the palette is worth the price. It’s a relatively inexpensive palette at only $27. Every color is usable, which is something that a lot of other palettes lack. If you like a neutral eye, or are in need of neutral color to build up your smokey eye, I would recommend this palette.

This palette was purchased myself and is not sponsored.

Have you tried Urban Decay’s Anti Aging Priming Potion? It’s the best, better than the other UD Priming Potions. It’s never creased for me with anything from drugstore eyeshadow to higher-end brands.

  2. @Kelli – I’ve never tried that one! I’ve only tried the regular Urban Decay Priming Potion. I’ll give it a shot! Thank you! :)

  3. I love how tiny this pallet is! It’s the only one from the Naked collection that I don’t own… love how it looks on you babe! xo

  4. @Catt – For the price, you can’t beat it! Thank you! ♥
